Winter
Calgary's winter lasts from November to Mid March. The average temperature during January and February is - 11· Celsius. Calgary's winter is milder than most Canadian cities because of the Chinook Wind, a warm wind which frequently comes down from the Rocky Mountains and causes the temperature to go up by 10º Celsius. You will need a warm coat and boots, and clothing that can be layered.
Summer
Bring your shorts and sandals, Calgary is beautiful in the summer. Clear skies, warm weather and sunny days are just right for summer activities. The average temperature from June to August is 20º Celsius, with a high of 30º Celsius.
